Daily confirmed COVID -19 cases in Taiwan have reached tens of thousands of people recently, and there are emerging attacks of Omicron subvariants BA.4 and BA.5. CDC appeals that, based on the current results, the Omicron BA.4/5 wave does not lead to a major increase in severe disease and death. BA.4 and BA.5 are more contagious and lead to higher numbers of reinfections, even among people who already contracted Omicron previously. To effectively prevent Covid-19, please report to NCHU OSA-Trace-System once you have been confirmed with COVID-19 infection. If you are diagnosed with Omicron BA.5 infection, please “report immediately by phone” to Health and Counseling Center (see below for the service time) or Office of Student Safety (24-hour duty).
Confirmed case should Immediately inform all people in close contact with you (including roommates, co-habitants, and other people in close contact with the confirmed case in dining, lab discussion, or other gathering activities without wearing a mask for more than 15 minutes) within 24 hours and ask them to report to NCHU OSA-Trace-System for tracing their immediate contacts and preventing the spread of COVID-19.
